abstract

After an introduction of himself, Kepa Iturralde will explain past and current research projects related to Digitalization, Automation and Robotics in Construction and the learnings, possibilities and obstacles found on them. Particularly, the field of building renovation and façade installation with digital, automated and robotic tools will be explained.

bio

Kepa Iturralde is Züblin endowed Junior-Professor, at the Chair of Digital Transformation in Construction, at the Institute of Construction Management, University of Stuttgart. He got a PhD at Technical University of Munich and  worked as a researcher at the University of the Basque Country and TUM (since 2015). He was visitor researcher at Sungkyunkwan_University, Seoul, (Republic of Korea), and at University of Tokyo (Japan). He worked in several EU research projects, such as  BERTIM H2020 project , HEPHAESTUS H2020 project ENSNARE H2020 project and AMALTEA Horizon project. He is founding-partner at Metak Arkitektura Tailerra.

The lecture will be held in English.

After the lecture there will be a reception at the Lecture Hall 7:02 in Pfaffenwaldring 7
